Is this a good assignment in Dubai?

I had asked a question on this forum about Dubai, I am very confused with some of the repsonses. I am getting a job offer from a company in Dubai. The offer is AED 1 million per year. The company will pay for education for my children, business travel once a year home, medical. Housing and car is included in this annula salary. Is this enough ????

One time furniture allowance is AED 50,000 and signing bonus is AED 175,000.

Can you please give me an opinion if this is a good salary.

I'm leaving in Abu Dhabi the housing here in Abu Dhabi is cheaper than Dubai. It depends what kind of Housing you want but here in Abu Dhabi where I'm leaving now the 2 bedrooms Flat (100sqm) cost 300000AED/year. As far as I know the Flat there in Dubai cost 2times.



But of course it depends how and which area you want to live. You can get also cheaper than that.



Usually the major problem here is only the housing. If you can solve it in another way will be good for you!!

For anyone reading this question, I'll convert the numbers for you:

AED 1Million is about $270,000. That's about $23,000 a month. AED 50,000 is about $13,500 and AED175,000 is about $45,000.



Also, if you read this person's past questions (he/she probably didn't realize that this could be done), you'll see there are questions this person asks as a young naive girl, as a guy, and as a woman landing a job which she asks is "good" without mentioning what she does?



Don't you think someone who was seriously interested in opinions would mention some specifics - afterall, $23,000/mo. is great for a janitor but maybe not so fantastic for the CEO of a multinational corporation.



I wouldn't take this person too seriously and waste too much time giving him/her advice.



P.S. This person claimed to be a final year law student a year ago - in her "naive female" personality. If this is her first job out of law school, it's pretty damn good.

I do not know one single person making this kind of salary who thinks it's necessary to ask these kind of questions.

No it not a good salary for a person of your calibre



Don't settle for less then AED 50-60 millions....Also, ask them to arrange a beachside villa, a copy of 'alice in the wonderland' and a daily lollypop!
