There is a small strip of land just above the UAE just at the tip of the peninsula.

Its called Musandam , which is an Oman enclave inside (north east) of UAE territory. Also between the two Oman borders there is small enclave called Mad-haa which belongs to Oman. Travellers between Dubai city & Hatta enclave which belongs to Dubai also drive thru Omani province Mahadha (different than first mentioned). Musandam residents usually do their shopping in UAE but they go to college or to find work in mainland Oman , either by road or by sea. Historically speaking , most other gulf countries used to refer to Emiratis as Omanis also. This started to change after 1971.

If you mean Jebel al Harim then it belongs to Oman, if you mean Qeshm Island it belongs to Iran.
