My friend was convicted, eye scanned and deported from Dubai; can he go back ?

when something like this happens to someone ( it more common than you'd imagine in dxb ) is it for life ?
in general, if someone is blacklisted, in this case from the emirates but I imagine from the whole GCC, can one appeal ?
and if one applies for a visa to another country or while crossing airports, would this incident appear ( that fact the he was convicted, blacklisted and expelled ) I mean will it keep popping up like zit on a date ?
thanks for any serious advice or experience in matter, hope I was clear enough.
cheers.

By "convicted" I assume a criminal charge was involved , in this case yes the ban would be for life. But for other matters it can be a temporary ban (i.e. not fulfilling a contract / other visa issues etc).

Appeal is possible , but not without the services of a qualified lawyer and it gets more difficult after the case has been closed,. You could hire a lawyer in your country, or directly contact MOFA & Immigration for possible solutions to your situation.

In case it was criminal, the records will be available to all gcc countries. Now whether or not that country is fine with it or not , that is up to the local regulations in that country , but as far of them knowing the answer is yes they will definitely know about him having been banned & deported from UAE.

Additional to "Tin m's" answer. The UAE belongs to the countries which require advance passenger informations - means, your friend won't be able to transit through any UAE Airport as long as he is blacklisted.

A person who got deported mostly committed what's considered a crime regarding UAE Law and therefore isn't welcome any more.

if the conviction is local then he can transit thru dubai ariport without passing thru immigration.

he is banned for life if its criminal conviction.

but he can still travel to other GCC countries or other countries.
