wow what an experience. im in dubai right now and there is no better place to do architectural stuff right now. other than shanghi. unfortunatly, the sheik has just released something that has to do with limiting new projects. but... if you are still interested, it gets really hot in the summer like 125 max + humidity, so mebe a heat index of 140 at the very most. its feb now and it feels just like summer in the states. it is a muslim country so there are something to get used to like ramadan, no eating in public, life here is quite conservative compared with western countries but quite liberal compared with other muslim states. the other thing is driving. for example people swerving back and forth at 90 mph across 4 lanes in a toyota echo is normal. and expect to get cut off, run into etc unless you use your horn

The heat. The people are just fantastic. Religion is not drilled into you. A total eye opener. Good luck and enjoy
